Dear Filippo,
There is much light in this perfume, and a slight breeze too. For me, it is an invitation to “lâcher-prise”. What was your inspiration?
There is an absolute need to stop and recognize value in slowness. Slowness embraces you and underlines things, pushes you to look at the true resource in meditation. The expectation of things, the matter of the soul, is obtained only and only through a movement more tending towards silence; and the caress comes like a warm wind that smells of solitude.
Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Green notes, Orange… It is light, perfect for a hot summer, yet we would be wrong to consider that it is a simple fragrance, a summer juice. There is some mystery, too, in this perfume. And a sacred spirit hidden behind the fresh notes.
It’s true, the release in the summer can lead to a commercial deception, forgetting the poetics. Yet this essence speaks of paths of feelings that do not cross but that touch each other despite not knowing each other, it speaks of sought-after solitudes and solitudes that arrive suddenly. These are precious moments that should be explored in depth, because only through this passage can dormant and hidden voices be heard.
Shall we talk about the part of mystery that all your fragrances convey?
Honestly, I would prefer to call them sacred, imbued with spirit. The Mystery for me is Faith, and Faith – as the word itself says – is trust that makes me look beyond and above all above. The Spirit is as if it were our nucleus: it is often forgotten or even canceled by our frenetic races without a precise destination. Here the perfume can then remind us of its presence by stimulating our moods, also necessary tools to describe ourselves as authentic, unique and above all alive.
Is it a part of you?
Nothing I have created can be said to be far from me and my identity: it is like a story of an internal journey that pushes its energy outwards through the scars of my life.

What does the sacred spirit in Lentezza Carezza want to tell us?
As mentioned above, it wants to tell us: stop, listen with silence to what you are, find yourself. Only in this way will you be able to listen to those you don’t see.
Incense, myrrh are important notes for you. What do they symbolize?
They are essential elements of most of my olfactory creations but also foundations of my Catholic Faith. They are biblical ingredients that in history tell the story of the path of God and of man’s prayer.
If Lentezza Carezza was to be worn by a famous character (real or fictional… for example, a writer, an actress…), who would he/she be? Why?
I would like Penelope Cruz to listen to it so she can tell me about her experience in the film Volver.
Is there a new fragrance coming in October?
The new fragrance from the UNUM collection that has just been released is called « neither day nor time »; it too starts poetically from the Gospel to actually describe a rich and very hidden state of mind: fear.
This important aspect common to each of us, in its multi-faceted nature, has a profound erotic evolution. Fear, in its deaf movement, pushes man to carry out inexplicable actions, to the limit and totally outside of everyday life. Fear is also a necessary tool to make us truly understand who we are and how far we can go.
