Lost in my analysis of Petite Mort, I applied a drop of this subversive fragrance to the crook of my arm, forgetting that I was surrounded by humans. Recollection of a day spent with the scent of a woman’s intimate parts on my skin. It offers itself like a concentrated dose of a thousand « I came »s in a single drop. A hyper-concentration to which men are unaccustomed.
Upon waking after my day with Petite Mort, another sensory universe unfolds, that of David Benedek, this time in the shower with his Parisian Collection body washes. Can a refined sensory experience through Gris Charnel, Rouge Smoking or Pas Ce Soir rival with the intense olfactive experience I had with Petite Mort yesterday?
Times is in the Essence
A look back in time at one of 152 Ferrari built in 1968, the Dino 206 GT in our new section « Time is in the Essence ». It was the need for a production-based engine for the new Formula 2 that had prompted the introduction of this ‘junior’ Ferrari at the Turin Motor Show in 1967.
In this new section, time is more than a presence. It is the essence. Let’s stay in the Seventies after the creation of the Ferrari Dino 206 GT and drive to Paris where the founders of Diptyque used to spend their evenings at L’Orphéon—a renowned late-night bar in the Latin Quarter, right next to their boutique.
